do you think that the internet tv will replace the television in the future?

Tom Romer: No, because "internet TV" is just another way to send TV signals. Since it is television it can't by definition replace television. It's pretty inevitable that providing TV signals over the Internet will replace conventional cable TV service. The only things holding it back are a shortage of broadband internet service and that business models for making money doing it are still in their infancy. Look at it this way, once you have reliable internet speeds in the 30 megabit/sec range, you can have virtual HD cable companies. Also it opens up business models to provide unlimited advertiser supported channels. Right now their are plenty of free (legal) TV programing that you can get without paying anything plus plenty of people who want to sell you programs (like the one you linked to) that will do the same thing. Right now the quality isn't that great and copyright violations abound, but these things will be worked out....Show more
