Karey Dunken: Monitor their viewing. My kids dont get to watch certain shows. Or watch certain sports ( cagefighting , hockey, etc.)
Lashawnda Anteby: By not watching the six-o'clock news and forbidding them to watch the televangelists on Sunday.
Giovanna Cramblit: The best way, is by example how you show your kids the way you deal with setback in your life. As big as getting cancer, or loss of a job, to as small as getting a ticket. When you show you handle sextbacks in a calm, and logical way, ther will be more likely to act the same. Also when you noticed your kids see something violent, or tell you about something they heard, talk about it. Tell them how you feel about the situation. Explain why you feel the way you do. Most parents do not realize how important telling you kids about how you feel about everything, from sex, drugs, violence, alcohol, being kind, showing respect, working hard, not lieing, cheating, stealing, give kids a base to draw fro! m. If parents do not tell their kids how they truely feel, the only info they have to to decide how to live right are kids their own age. Most kids, and young adults, learn by seeing others they look up to, or see who is popular with the guys, and girls, and act like them. But not all the kids that are popular give good examples. It is simple. Share how you feel with your kids, as often as you can, every chance you get. Do not be afraid they won't listen, or you think you are a hipocrate. There are things I did as a kid that were stupid, and it is still stupid to do today. They will not do everything you tell them to do, everyone breaks the rules now and then, but sometimes we can learn from others mistakes....Show more
Darren Heling: By not allowing them to watch violence on TV.
