Buying used car, Title is not same name as Seller?

Or he may have bought it to flip without telling the prior owner.In my state you need a bill of sale from the seller so that would need to be forged.Why not just try to contact the name on the title ? Not a bad idea anyway.I used to be a low end car dealer. Bought lots of cars from auctions but always tried to contact the prior owner as it made me feel better about the cars and I could tell the prospective buyers more....Show more
