Janean Guz: Your car registration expires @ midnight of the date that's listed on your registration sticker. So, that means you can still stay on a NY street until midnight, after that then you can get a ticket.
Jerrod Guilfoil: Your registration is good through the 14th. But regardless, I highly doubt you would get cited until after the month of July. Most officers don't take note of the exact day of the month the registration expires, however, it is possible you could get cited after the 14th. Most police officer I know give some sort of leeway regarding expired registration, whether it be a month or more. But that is entirely up to the discretion of the officer.
Mahalia Brindle: I know they will definitely not allow it through the end of this month. Two years ago, I forgot to renew my car's registration and received a ticket two days after the deadline. In NY, our car inspections are good through the end of the month.
Whitley Leopold: I'm a police ! officer in NY. And the person who answered first is correct. Your registration is good through the 14th. On the 15th is when it's actually expired. And he's also right that an officer is not stopping at cars checking their registration. Only if your parked illegally will you even get a ticket.
