Program design vs Website design?

Alane Antes: I would say that in program design you would have to think a bit more about how to make it more user friendly than doing web design.The reasons being, a web design is usually the same. It is written to be displayed in a web browser, so it has it's limitations.Whereas, with a program, you can basically create anything. The way a user uses it would depend on what you are making, so the choices needed to make it user friendly would be more. You would have to decide how the program should work, how a user should proceed through the program, etc.Hope that helps in some way....Show more

Raymundo Kyser: Photoshop isnt exactly used to create websites. It is a professional photo editing program and is often used when creating pictures and graphics for websites. A programming language is code where a human writes a set of rules and the computer breaks them down (compiling) and executes them. HTML and javascript are two programming languages for website design ! while java and C or C++ are two general programming languages that are used in much of the software you use on your computer. (I think windows is written with C++ but im not sure) i know that blizzard writes their computer games with C++. There are programs that are used to create websites such as dreamweaver and i think that is owned by adobe the company that makes photoshop....Show more
